About me
Virginia L. Walker is a professor in the Department of Special Education and Child Development at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Dr. Walker’s research focuses on positive behavioral interventions and supports for students with extensive support needs (ESN), supports planning to enhance the inclusion of students with ESN, and effective training practices for school staff supporting students with ESN. Dr. Walker currently serves on the TASH Board of Directors and the editorial boards of Education and Treatment of Children, Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities, Inclusive Practices, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and Research and Practice for Persons with Severe Disabilities.
