About me
Mike received his BS in mathematics and secondary math certification from the University of Michigan - Dearborn and Masters in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University. His experience includes teaching Pre-Algebra through Pre-Calculus courses, co-teaching with special education and English Learner teachers, and elementary math methods for MSU fifth year education students. He also worked at the Ottawa Area ISD and led the development and implementation of the Delta Math RTI Program with support from Alt+Shift, an IDEA Grant Funded Initiative through the Michigan Department of Education, Office of Special Education. In 2024, the OAISD encouraged Mike to retire and build a new online screening application to transition Delta Math RTI support from public to private funding.
