About me
Eileen Derengowski is an MTSS Coordinator with Walled Lake Consolidated School District. She has worked in education since 2004. Eileen started her career at the Van Buren Intermediate School District on the west side of the state as a school social worker. In 2015, her and her family moved to South Lyon and she began her career in Walled Lake. From 2015 to 2023, Eileen was a school social worker and department chair. In 2023, she moved to the role of MTSS Coordinator. Eileen has a BSW with a minor in Psychology (2002), MSW (2004), and an LMSW (2006) from Western Michigan University. She believes this quote by Brene Brown: "Choose courage over comfort. Choose whole-hearts over armor. And choose the great adventure of being brave and afraid at the exact same time". Eileen is married to Ryan, and her children Nora and Claire attend school in South Lyon. She loves to run, travel and enjoy time with family/friends.
