2026 MiMTSS Conference

Dr. Michelle Elia is an assistant professor at Marietta College, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in reading science. A special education teacher at heart, she has served in diverse roles at the school, regional, and state levels. As a professional learning provider, Elia partners with organizations across the country to build capacity in literacy assessment, intervention, and data-based decision-making within an MTSS framework. Dr. Elia also serves as President of The Reading League - Ohio. Michelle is passionate about explicit instruction and applying the science of teaching, reading, and writing to the classroom, especially for struggling adolescent students.
