Dawn Brookhart, M.A.T., M.Ed., is an instructional leader and systems strategist with three decades of experience helping schools, districts, and state agencies translate research into effective, sustainable practice. A committed advocate for the science of reading, she empowers educators nationwide through professional learning, instructional coaching, and implementation science. Dawn is the co‑founder of Ed Cap Consulting, LLC and co‑author of Instructional Leadership in Student‑Focused Coaching (Brookes Publishing, 2026), work through which she continues to develop educator leadership and shape coherent, evidence‑based systems that improve outcomes for all students. She also serves as Vice President and co‑founder of The Reading League Pennsylvania and Chief Operating Officer of The Southport CoLAB.
