About me
With 22 years in education, I have served students across grades 6–12 as a teacher, MTSS interventionist, assistant principal, and elementary principal. I currently serve as MTSS, Curriculum, Grants, and Continuous Improvement at Bellevue Community Schools, a role created through MICIP root cause analysis following the district’s CSI identification. This work allows me to support system-wide improvement and provide a K–12 lens for MTSS implementation that strengthens outcomes for all learners.On a personal level, I am blessed with a blended family of four children—three teenagers and one young adult—each uniquely different in their strengths and needs. We have the privilege of raising a 17-year-old with severe dyslexia who is dually enrolled in college and on track to graduate with honors, two children with 504 plans, and one who is completing an electrician apprenticeship through the Union.These experiences make MTSS and RTI more than professional frameworks for me—they are deeply personal. Supporting student success is not only the work I lead in schools, but also the reality I live at home. This dual perspective continues to shape my passion for ensuring that every learner receives what they need to thrive.
